A bit about me

Christine Wilson is a licensed CPA and Managing Partner of Abacus Professional Accountants, and the firm’s most senior accounting authority. With over 22 years of deep, hands-on accounting experience, Christine has served as both a Corporate Controller and a Vice President of Finance, and has brought Director of finance-level thinking to businesses across construction, healthcare, non-profits, and beyond.

What sets Christine apart is her ability to step into the most complex financial situations and bring clarity where others see chaos. Whether it’s untangling years of disorganized records, navigating a business acquisition, or building financial systems from the ground up, Christine’s scope of experience across every department of a company, A/R, A/P, G/L, Payroll, and more, means she has seen it all and solved most of it.

On the personal side, Christine is an animal lover, an avid reader, and a devoted movie buff.

Work Experience Highlights

Graduated from University of South Florida

I graduated from the University of South Florida, obtaining my Master's Degree and Summa Cum Laude. My time in college, although challenging, was made easier by my supportive family, including my mother and daughter, who reassured me every step, from orientation to graduation and beyond, where I got my CPA!

My First Job

My first job was amazing! I worked my way up to accounting Manager, helping senior management with annual strategic planning and budgets for over 20 business units with proper balancing of price/volume relationships. All of this while supporting my family and raising my daughter.

Corporate Controller

I started work as a corporate controller where I built a accounting team from scratch, streamlined processes, managed an A/P department relocation across country, set up control documentation, completed several years of external audits and even managed the migration and acquisition of the company when it was purchased in 2015, moving all the financial systems to Oracle.

Vice President of Finance

After over 20 years, I took a role as Vice President of Finance, although I can honestly say my heart lies with being a Controller. From managing teams, working with WIPs, and understanding all the aspects from general ledger accounting to where I am now, I can say that I still love rolling up my sleeves and digging in with everyone else, solving every issue along the way and building amazing relationships with the people around me.
